Privacy Policy

Our Commitment to You

We respect each site visitor's right to personal privacy. To that end, we collect and use information throughout our website only as disclosed in this privacy policy. This statement applies solely to information collected on this website.

Our web server does not automatically recognize any information regarding the user's domain or e-mail address. The information we collect may be used to improve the content of our web site; it is never shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.

Any information collected on our order form, query page, or special order form--including contact information (e.g., name, email address, shipping address) and possibly financial information (e.g., credit card number and expiration date)--is used only to complete the requested transaction successfully (e.g., fill an order, or contact the customer if there are problems in processing the order).

When sensitive information is transferred or received, visitors are redirected to a secure server, and are notified of this feature through a pop-up screen.

As you browse our site, we may gather navigational and clickstream data; these data will not reveal your identity or be linked to you personally.

This site uses cookies. Cookies are small files stored by your browser in your computer when you visit our site. These cookies are used to improve our site and make it easier to use. For example, cookies permit us to identify you and avoid repetitive requests for the same information. We mostly use "session cookies"; these are automatically deleted after each visit. The cookies from our site cannot be read by other sites.

This site operates AS-IS and AS-AVAILABLE, without liability of any kind. We are not responsible for events beyond our direct control. This policy is governed by Nevada law, excluding conflicts of law principles. Any legal actions against us must be commenced in Nevada within one year after the claim arose, or be barred.

Accepted Methods of Payment

Please use Paypal to pay with your credit card. We also accept personal checks (with a 10-day hold for the check to clear), or money orders.

Shipping Time

Shipping time will vary depending on the supplier's location; most suppliers will ship within 24 hours of receiving the order. You will be notified of the actual shipping time, expected date of delivery, and tracking number as soon as I receive it. Seven to 10 business days for delivery is a reasonable expectation.

Shipping Methods

Instruments will be shipped from the supplier to the customer, usually within one day of receipt of the order and confirmation of payment. If possible, the "other" items included with the instrument package will be procured from the same supplier and shipped with the instrument. Otherwise, they will be procured from another supplier and shipped separately. You will be notified if there will be a delay, and how many separate packages will be sent to you. As soon as the merchandise is shipped from the supplier, you will be notified of the tracking number, and the expected date of delivery.

Some suppliers use Federal Express instead of UPS or USPS. Normally, merchandise will be shipped using Ground Service where possible.

Return Merchandise Policy

Damaged Shipments: Shipments damaged from handling must be claimed with the freight carrier. If you notice concealed damage after the driver has left, keep all the packing and call the freight carrier to return and inspect the damage and file a claim. While we are not responsible for damage caused by the freight carrier, I will be happy to help you file a claim, and if necessary supply you with a replacement instrument.

Manufacturer's Defects: If a product appears to have a manufacturer’s defect, email me right away, so I can contact the supplier for instructions to properly pack and return the instrument, to receive replacement or proper credit.

Items returned to the supplier because of manufacturers defects require a Return Authorization Number (which I will get from the supplier), to ensure proper handling of the return.

Wrong Product Delivered: If you receive a different product than what you ordered, please notify us immediately. I will send you instructions for (1) returning the received product to the supplier, and (2) receiving the proper product (they may be the same, if they come from the same supplier). The returned package must contain the following:
  • All original contents
  • Original packaging
  • Original invoice or receipt

Other Returns: You may return any undamaged instrument package to Spirit Guide Musical Instruments within one (1) year of purchase for full credit of your purchase price. Please notify us in advance. I respectfully request that you pay for shipping these returns to me, but see below (Refunds of Shipping Costs) for an alternative or to negotiate. You will be returning your package to our offices in Hayward, CA, not to the supplier. Please email the return request to spiritguide@comcast.net (with "RETURN REQUEST" in the subject field), to receive return instructions.

Within one (1) business day of receipt of your returned package, you will receive the purchase price refund via PayPal (unless you request it through another vehicle).

Handling an "Authorized" Return

Return the item to the address given to you by our return department

Write the Return Authorization Number clearly on the box or package.

Please insure items shipped via U.S. Postal Service (U.S.P.S.) or with a value of over $100.00 (because we cannot refund your purchase price if we do not receive the package).

Keep your shipping records for proof of shipment in the event of loss of returned merchandise.

Refunds of Shipping Costs

We will reimburse for any shipping costs you incur in shipping returned defective, wrong, or damaged merchandise if you cannot recover it from the carrier or supplier.

We respectfully request that you pay for the shipping of undamaged merchandise returned within one (1) year of purchase (your refund will cover the full purchase price of the product). If you request a "trade-in" (i.e., wish to order another item, and apply your refund to the cost of the new item) we can negotiate shipping refunds!
